About Confirmation
Confirmation is the strengthening and unleashing of the powers of the Holy Spirit first received when a person was baptized. Catholics are usually confirmed in high school.
High School Confirmation
High schoolers usually receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 10th grade after a couple of years of preparation. The youth minister heads Confirmation preparation. Start your journey by visiting the confirmation page on St. Cecilia’s youth ministry site, Anchor Ames.
Adult Confirmation
Adults usually receive Confirmation after going through a preparatory course, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Visit the Pastoral Ministry’s page on becoming Catholic for more information.
