My wife, Rindi and I were married at St. Thomas Aquinas in 1999. We have lived in Ames ever since. Both our son, Gregorius and daughter, Katrina are studying at the University of Iowa. I was ordained in the summer of 2017. One of the biggest blessings of being a deacon is getting to know the people that I serve. I love to meet new people, especially those that have been around St. Cecilia’s a long time. Presiding at the Sacrament of Baptism is probably the most special part of being a deacon! I currently work as an environmental engineer at Iowa DOT. My favorite saint is probably John Paul II. His first name is Karol which is Polish for Charles. My favorite sport to watch and to do is probably downhill skiing with golf being a close second.
